Hi,

For SFI application, need series a capacitor as below?

If yes, any capacitor value is recommend? thanks!

    Hi,

    If the DS125BR111 redriver is being implemented as part of an SFP module then the module board is required to implement AC coupling capacitors on the redriver high-speed inputs and outputs. If the redriver is being implemented on the system host board and interfacing to modules via SFI then the host board does not need to implement additional AC coupling caps on the SFI interfaces, as the module is supposed to have these AC coupling capacitors.

    100nF is an adequate value for the AC coupling capacitors.
