SN65DP159: Recommended metal mask aperture size

Hi,

I have a question about the recommended metal mask opening sizes listed in each datasheet.

・SN65DP159RSB
・TPS22965DSG

The SN65DP159RSB has a through-hole on the PAD, so I think it is divided crosswise to prevent solder from flowing.

Regarding the TPS22965DSG, it seemed to be simply divided into two at the center. (A state where cream solder is placed on the through-hole)

Do you have any intentions regarding the shape of each division?

For both designs, I would follow the stencil design in their respective datasheet for the dimension.

DP159 stencil design

TPS22965DSG stencil design

Please also note the recommend soldering coverage when assemble the device to the PCB board.

I am not sure if I fully understand your question. The package is designed to be soldered to a thermal pad on the board. For more information, see Texas Instruments literature number SLUA271, www.ti.com/lit/slua271.
