TCA6408A: Question regarding the VOH of P-Port

Part Number: TCA6408A

Hello,

I have question about the TCA6408A.

I am currently using it with the following setup : Vccp = Vcci = 1.8V.

On the datasheet Section 6.5, the VOH of the P-port is mentioned and for Vccp = 1.65V, the min VOH is 1.2V for IOH = -8mA and 1.1V for  IOH = -10mA.

My receiver side has VIH minimum of 1.26V, so currently following the datasheet spec I would need to insert a buffer to ensure VOH > VIH.

However in my application the drive strength will not be high (uA range) due to external resistor and the signal entering a high-z input.

My question is with much lower drive current (lower IOH), will the min VOH increase? If you have any measurement data , please send those along as well.

Sincerely,

Tsugumi
