DS90UB948-Q1: DE mode/sync mode

Hi Expert,

There have a general question from customer. 

The Serializer in cockpit side is 983, the deserializer in display side is 948. 

The timing which output from 983 include HS+VS+DE. And the LCD panel is set to the sync mode. My question is that what mode should the 948 be configured in? DE mode or sync mode? 

Currently, customer use DE mode for 948 for a long time because the LCD panel they used in previous project is DE mode. Just would like to check with you if 948 need to use the sync mode in this project. And why?

    Hi Ethan,

    There is no sync mode or DE mode to configure on the 948. The 948 will pass on whatever signal it receives from the SER and recreate it at the output. The only option to choose between DE and Sync mode is for FRC control.
