DS90UB928Q-Q1: To evaluate the connectivity between ds90ub941 and ds90ub928

Part Number: DS90UB928Q-Q1

Dear

To evaluate the connectivity between ds90ub941 and ds90ub928, we output a 1366 * 480 picture to the decoder ds90ub928 through ds90ub941, but the ds90ub928 supports 1280 * 720 at most. Is this the case

You can also use the deserializer ds90ub928. What is the loss? If you can't use it, please recommend the deserializer that adapts to ds90ub941

Thanks

  • Hi Sam,

Actually, the availability of image would be determined by PCLK (total pixels * refresh rate), not resolution such as 720p. I think there is not any loss. The active pixels of 1366 * 480 (655,680) is smaller than the active pixels of 1280 * 720 (921,600), but please ensure that the desired PCLK (total pixel including blanking with active and refresh rate) has to be covered to UB928 PCLK support (5 MHz to 85 MHz). Please do not hesitate to ask me with any questions further.

    Regards,

    Josh
