TUSB1310A: TUSB1310A replacement

Part Number: TUSB1310A

Now that USB 3.0 in devices ares becoming more prevalent. there is increasing need to support it in embedded designs.

Any plan for TI to bring a solution (that can be use for NON-PCI design) back into the product line and make it available via the retail channel ?

EZ-USB seem to be the only alternative. There seems to be a proprietary controller from Silicon, but not availble in retail.

For any readers, any suggestions for an alternative to interface an MPU, MCU or FPGA to USB 3.0 ?

our group is concentrating on discrete USB solutions, like USB PHY, host or hub. but no plan for new PHY other than TUSB1310A.

Some other groups in TI may have their own USB solutions in MCU or SOC since they can buy USB IP from other vendors.

Thank you for the reply. The question was placed here because that many years since USB 3has become avaialble, it seems not much uptick in MCU or FGPA's Almost all designs that can be found on boards use the FX3 with FPGA's. The TUSB1310A has been NRND for quite a while now.

Will there be a "B version ?
