DP83867IR: The VDDA1P8 connection

Hi Team

The DS of DP83867IR mentions that VDDA1P8 should be left opened for two supply configuration,

but for some reasons my customer wants to connect 2 VDDA1P8 pins together in their system. (pin 17 and pin 64)

Both pins are not connected to either the GND or Vdd, is this connection safe to perform?

If 2 supply configuration is used, please leave VDDA1P8 as DNC.

Please answer the question.

Is it safe to connect 2 VDDA1P8 pins together? They are not connected to either the GND or Vdd.

If not, please advice a specific reason against doing so.

Please see datasheet under figure 22. "For two supply configuration, both VDDA1P8 pins must be left unconnected."
