TUSB4020BI: We are wondering about setting up our vendor for vendor ID and product ID.

Hi,

TI allows customers to use the default VID/PID that is hardcoded into the hub device.  You only need to change the VID/PID if you wish to do so. To change the VID/PID would require an external EEPROM and we can provide an EEPROM programming utility if needed.

The manual mentions that the default VID/PID of this LSI can be written one-time.

You still need an external EEPROM to override vendorIdMsb, vendorIdLsb,productIdLsb, and productIdMsb in order to change the VID and PID of the USB Hub.

No. TI provides an OTP programming tool, using this tool you can program the OTP register of TUSB4020BI.
