Hi Team,

Please advice me ony two questions bellows.

Q1. When DS90UB960 is used with DS90UB933, do they suport mipi RAW8 format?

The DS90UB960 datasheet insists that the DS90UB960 used with DS90UB933

suport RAW8, RAW10 and RAW12. However, I can not find way to configure it

in RAW8 mode.

If theyt can soupor RAW8 please let me know how to configure in RAW8 mode.

Q2. When DS90UB960 is used with DS90UB953, do they suport RAW8, RAW10 and RAW12?

Are there any mipi format thety can not suport?

Hello Mita,

#1- Yes it does support RAW8. You need to configure the UB960 into RAW10 and configure register 0x7C[7:6] to chose the upper or the lower 8-bits.

Thank you for your answer.

I think RAW8 and LAW10 are diffrent data stracture.

The data format of RAW8 is P1,P2,P3,P4,P5----.

In contracst, the data format of RAW10 is P1,P2,P3,P4,LSBs,P5----.

Despite of setting 0x7C [7:6], the payload of the mipi strem is still RAW10 format and

stuffed 00 on upper or lower two bits.

I think the format is still RAW10 rather than RAW8.

PLease give me the answer to the Q1.

Hello Mita-san,

If the SER input, which is a parallel input in this case, is in RAW8 format, the DES will just receive these data and create the CSI-2 packets with data type RAW8. So there is no special configuration is needed on the DES.

Reg 0x7C which I mentioned above, can be used if you are using 8-bit parallel on the SER.

Yes, RAW8, RAW10, RAW12, RAW14 and RAW16 are supported.
