PCA9557: How can the device work in standby mode?

Hi expert,

Our customer want to use our PCA9557.

They want to know how can the device work in standby mode?

Do they need to set it up, or will the device automatically enter standby mode when I2C idea?

    "Standby" simply means that the I²C bus is idle.

    This device does not have an internal oscillator; the state machine is triggered entirely by the SCL clock edges. Standby is not really a separate operating mode that needs to be entered or left.
