Question#1: Whether SN65DP159RSB support DP signals input? If yes, pls tell me the pins definition of DP input for SN65DP159RSB?

Question#2: Whether SN65DP159RSZ support DP signals input? If yes, pls tell me the pins definition of DP input for SN65DP159RSZ?

    Hello Jinde,

    Yes both packages support DP input. The pin definitions are found in the datasheet section "6 Pin Configuration and Functions."

    Only the pins definition of HDMI interface is described  in section 6 of the datasheet. For the pins definition of DP interface, it is not described in it.

    it need TI side to offer the pin definition of DP interface.

    Another thing, the SoC in my design support DP1.4, can DP 1.4 backward compliant to DP1.1?

    Please help to confirm and give the feedback ASAP. Thanks a lot for your support in advance.

    Hey Jinde,

    For a DP TX application, you can see a few examples in section 10 of the datasheet.

    DP 1.4 cables are backward compliant to DP 1.1. You can check VESA's website to learn more about the DP standards.

    However, the DP159 is a DP++ device not a DP device. Are you intending to use this device for DP++ or DP1.4?
