Hi Kanter,

This GPIO event can be use to signal to the HUB that tAMEtimeout has expired. This means that the UFP port did not get an enter mode message before the timeout expired. 

This is the configuration you need (depending on Port 1 or 2)

Dear Raymond,

By our current structure (TPS65988DK + TUSB8044A), there have two problem:

1. We used billboard event by GIO, however it is always can't pass USB PD CTS for TD 4.10.6 Sink Alternate Mode Test.

==> The response of billboard is too slow by lecroy test. I don't know why it is always NG.

And, Taiwan TI FAE also mention the response can't changed, seems TI system limitation.

2. We checked other monitor design, it seems follow USB billboard spec for bmConfigure 01/10 for NG and 11 for success.

==> When DP ALT success, we still can see billboard device in window device managerment.

We check the spec, only static billboard using 00 when DP ALT mode fail, and disappear when DP alt mode success.

It seems our structure for TI solution using static billboard design, therefore I ask what's static billboard definition, why TI using the design?

Dear Raymond,

1. USB CTS 4.10.6: The GIO event is correct, because it is response slowly. Our product using TPS65987DK and TPS65988DK with TUSB8044A, both are fail for response slow. (Ex: it take around 1.8s ~ 1.9s by lecroy test result).

2. Billboard behavior: Is it very difficult for TI? What's static billboard? Is it possible to change with bmconfigure 01/10/11, not always 00.

Could you support and reply the questions item by item?

Yesterday, we go to 3rd lab for another new two project that are 65987+8044, and 65988+8044, both are passed.

The Lecroy tester tool is updated and judgement method also changed, and I plan to re-test it with this project again.

If there have any updated, I will pass to you.

However, my customer want to change billboard behavior, but it seems TI only support to "static billboard."

If so, it is necessary to explain what's "static billboard" to our customer.

That is reason why I always push to explain "static billboard".
