DS90UB953A-Q1: DS90UB953A-Q1 connected to a DS90UB914A-Q1

Part Number: DS90UB953A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB914A-Q1,

Hello,

if I connect a DS90UB953A-Q1 to a DS90UB914A-Q1, the line rate will limited to 1.4Gbps by the 914.

If I feed the 953 via a CSI link speed of more than 1.4Gbps (e.g. 4lanes@800Mbps=3.2Gbps) but with a sufficient delay between long packets to lower the total average bandwidth below 1.4GBps, will my packets pass through or be corrupted due to overload in the 935?

Can the 935 store lines with a high bandwidth and feed them slowly into the cable? The datasheet shows a FIFO in the data path. What is the size of that packet FIFO?

How can I calculate the maximum CSI speed from the line rate?

Best regards,

Juergen
