LMH1297: configuration

Part Number: LMH1297
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY,

We configured using LMH1297 profile updater and we connected LMH1297 using USB cable that came with the device to PC still the error is coming,

Please anyone help us how to overcome this error "Invalid address or device not found" to change slave adress.

I have a few doubts please clarify this

1) Do we need to give power supply to change slave adress?

2) In order to configure Do we need USB2ANY device?

  • Greetings,

I am assuming you are using LMH1297 device on a customer board. In this case, you would need USB2ANY and device needs to be powered up. Then using LMH1297 GUI with its updater should enable you to run this GUI and communicate with the part.

  • Hi Nassser, Thanks for the reply.

We are using LMH1297 EVM Evaluation board. I am attaching the picture for reference.

    • Our problem is when we are using SigCon Architect to configure the slave address, "Invalid address or Device not found" error is occurring. We are connecting the LMH1297 EVM using LMH1297 GUI with its updater in the Laptop using the cable that came with that to change the slave address but we are unable to do so.
    • We are not giving any supply, just using that usb cable to configure, will that be a problem?

    Thanks & Regards

  • Hi Sandeep,

Yes you need to provide 2.5V supply to the connectors on the left hand side of the image you have provided. Please review LMH1297EVM user guide for details.

  • Hi Nasser,

Thank you for the reply, we are able to configure by giving power supply to LMH1297EVM.

We are doing loop back test on LMH1297EVM, we are supplying SDI signal from 'Hyperdeck Studio 4k Pro' .

We are taking SDI signal from SDI OUT of Hyperdeck using BNC connectors and giving it to SDI_IO+ and taking it from SDI_OUT+ of LMH1297EVM but we don't understand whether we are getting the passed signal or not ( we are observing that in Eyediagram of SigCon architect GUI). Please guide us how we know we are getting the same.

    Thanks & Regards

    sandeep

  • Hi Sandeep,

Do you have access to the LMH1297EVM EVM user guide? This outlines the setup and GUI that comes with this board.
