DS90LV031A: Checking on possible counterfeit part for DS90LV031ATMTC/NOPB

Part Number: DS90LV031A

I received a batch of PCBs that use the DS90LV031ATMTC/NOPB (Quad LVDS drivers). The parts are consuming ~400mA at 3.3V when receiving 100Mbps PRBS, which is more than x10 my expectation. Their free air temperature is reaching ~90C. The PRBS pattern does seem to get reliability transmitted through the chip.

I'd like to verify that these chips are genuine, not counterfeit. A graphic with the part markings are attached. They read:

9BALH6U

DS90LV

031AT

The first line is preceded by the National Semiconductor symbol.

Does anyone have a way to help me know if this part is legit?

Thanks,

Tyler

  • Hi Tyler,

The devices should have TI's logo similar to the below description and would recommend purchasing from TI.com while further reaching out to your sales representative, thanks.
