DS280BR820: Request for updating CTLE or FIR settings of DS280BR820 via I2C

Hi support team.

My customer want to update CTLE or FIR settings of DS280BR820 via I2C directly without EEPROM like SigCon.

It's tedious for them to read the those settings on EEPROM after the system is powered.

Is there any way to make I2C register file not for EEPROM?

Hi Shoo,

Customer can select SMBus slave mode by pulling EN_SMB pin through 1K-Ohm Resistor to VDD. This would allow customer to directly control registers. Please make sure your customer has access to the DS280BR820 programming guide.

Hi Nasser-san,

yes. our custmer has already selected SMBus slave mode. but they are struggled to program it.

how do our custmers send access request of programming guide.
