TCA9517: TCA9517DR has as internal pull up resistor

HI,

As mentioned above, We are using a TCA9517DR I2C repeater, when I was going through the datasheet enable pin is declared as active high but in schematics Enable pin is PULLED UP High to Vccb.
What does it mean?

Should we need to add a PULLDOWN Resistor? so that Active High can be achieved?

The internal pull-up resistor means that the device is enabled even if the EN pin is left open. You need to connect the EN pin only if you want to disable the device.

Hi Shashank,

Clemens' is correct. An internal pull-up resistor exists on EN pin, pulling the node up to VCCB. If EN is left open, the EN is always ON. Connect the EN pin to GND only if you desire to disable the device.
