Hi Experts,

There is a spec for oscillator shown in below.

Regarding frequency stability condition, which is "operation temerature" or "1 year aging" correct?

    Hi Uchikoshi,

    9-1 and 9-2 are defined for a crystal and external oscillator respectively.

    If you ask me the strict way of mentioning in the datasheet, it should be across both operation temperature and aging. The reason why it is mentioned that way is because Crystal Datasheets usually mention stability across age as it is a common factor which affects crystals. However, for external oscillators, operational temperature is a high contribution factor and so it is defined across operational temperature in their datasheets.
