TUSB211: Add it between Host and Device

Hello Expert,

Could please check below and give me feedback or your guidance?

If we insert TUSB211 as in Case (B), will the issue be resolved?

Symptom: When power noise is applied to the product, the device is disconnected due to noise problem in the USB communication line.

So, I am trying to make a good USB Eye pattern by inserting a TUSB211 in the middle.

Case (A) Current design : Product HOST (USB2.0) <-----> Device (If Power Noise is added, Communication is disconnected)

Case (B) Our plan for improvement : Product HOST (USB2.0) <-- TUSB211---> Device

Hey Michael,

Could you send the layout of your system and any eye diagrams that have already been taken? This can help us to see whether a redriver is needed or not, as adding a redriver in due to noise from the power supply may not necessarily fix it, unless this noise is close to the center of the eye diagram.
