TFP401A: HDMI TO Parallel RGB Converter Problem

Hello !

I am currently developing an Infotainment System for an electrical scooter, based on raspberry compute module 4. I am a new PC designer and I have no previous experience in LCD displays and Interfaces. One of the requirements is the conversion from HDMI to Parallel RGB for the Display. I am currently reading TFP401A datasheet, but it seems not the right IC for this job. Do you know an IC that can conduct the HDMI to Parallel RGB Conversion?

Hi,

Looking at the panel datasheet, TFP401A should support it.

You want to set PIXS pin to low using the 1pix/clk mode which only uses the even outputs from the 401A, and then map the following between the panel and the TFP401A.

8 bits Blue QE[7:0]

8 bits Green QE[15:8]

8 bits Red QE[23:15]
