I use PCA 9306 as I2C 1.8V-3.3V voltage translator. The schematics is exactly a copy of Fig. 2 in datasheet. The Rpu's are 510 and 1K on 1.8V and 3.3V sides, respectively. The EN pin pull-up resistor is 200K. The bypass capactior on VREF2 pin is 10nF. PCA9306 does the job perfectly. However our 10 ea pilot run has 2 PCA9306 burned during operation. That's quite a high failure rate. Would you please review the design I described above for what could be the cause (i.e. wrong Rpu)?
