Alternate for the component : DS26LV31TM

Hi Team,

In our old design,we were using DS26LV31TM line driver.But now it is obsolete.We need to replace this with a alternate.We selected AM26LV31ID this as a alternate and in online also this part number was suggested.

Our Queries.

  1. Voh/Vol of these IC's are not matching.so can we go with AM26LV31ID part or not?
  2. Any other alternative for DS26LV31TM with same voh and vol levels?

    Hi Ganesh,

    1. It depends on what receiver you are using - if the differential receiver can read the lower voltages from the driver this part can be can be used.

    2. We have a pretty large section of quad drivers with most of them being RS-422 compliant which would guarantee 2V differential output over 100 Ohms for the operating range - is there any other specs - such as data-rate, voltage supply, etc.. that are wanted if a part change is made?  Please let me know so I can narrow down potential options.
