Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDES960
The chips in question are the TSER953 and TDES960, Looking around at the datasheet for this part pair, I noted that the TSER953 states that it supports a 4mp camera at 30 fps. In the TDES960 datasheet it mentions that the line buffer memory is 16KB for each port. If I am not mistaken that buffer cant hold a complete line of CSI data in 16KB for that 4MP camera. At 8 bits per pixel that buffers max is about 2730 lines. So it seems if the chip was in Figure 7-20. Line-Concatenated Format mode. Its not possible to have a 4k camera running in that mode. Is it correct?
I am looking at trying to build a pick and place machine and this chip seems to offer most of the functionality that I need with the exception of this buffer issue. I was going to try to set this up on the RPI CM4 CSI ports. I mainly need the ability to video switch and I do not need high fps. Just stable shots for machine vision with lots of possible inputs.
