TCAN1462-Q1: TCAN1462-Q1

Part Number: TCAN1462-Q1

Hello team,

In TCAN1462-Q1 datasheet its mentioned there is internal pull-up on STB and TXD pins but i could not find the value of those pull up resistors. I need this data in order to calculate external pull-up resistors. So could you please tell the value of resistor and which value of resistor you would suggest to connect externally.

Thank you,

Kavana H

  • Hi Kavana,

The strength of the internal pull-up resistors can be estimated using the leakage characteristics of the pin. These values are different between these two pins.

TXD is specified to have a maximum leakage current of 200uA when driven low when VIO is at 5.5V. This equates to a pull-up strength of 5.5V / 200uA = 27.5k-ohm. This can be considered a minimum value as the corresponding max leakage is specified to be 10x smaller and would therefore equate to a 275k-ohm maximum pull-up strength (which also happens to be the minimum value for the STB with similar corresponding 10x maximum).

Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Regards,
    Eric Schott
