TUSB320LAI: application questions

Part Number: TUSB320LAI

Hi team,

please help with following question

1. for ID/INT pin, is it must connect to AP/PMIC if OTG is needed? since CC already include the DRP configuration logic.

2. for EN pin,  what's the purpose to hold 50ms? what if EN pin and VDD start up together? "If controlled externally, must be held low at least for 50 ms after VDD has reached its valid voltage level.:"

  • 3. for EN pin, is it okay to connect resistor to GND?

    4. For VDD, why it need to ramp within 25ms?" Positive supply voltage. VDD must ramp within 25 ms or less"

  • Hi,

    1. for ID/INT pin, is it must connect to AP/PMIC if OTG is needed? since CC already include the DRP configuration logic.

***You still need to read the ID pin or the TUSB320LAI I2C register to understand the role of TUSB320LAI, whether it is being negotiated to be a UFP or DFP.

    2. for EN pin,  what's the purpose to hold 50ms? what if EN pin and VDD start up together? "If controlled externally, must be held low at least for 50 ms after VDD has reached its valid voltage level.:"

EN pin hold low for 50ms to make sure there is a valid reset. If VDD and EN start together, then you may not have a valid reset.

    3. for EN pin, is it okay to connect resistor to GND?

*** EN connect to GND will disable TUSB320LAI.

    4. For VDD, why it need to ramp within 25ms?" Positive supply voltage. VDD must ramp within 25 ms or less"

*** This is the requirement for some pins that are not failsafe.

    Thanks
