DP83TD510E: More robust Link in scenario with millisecond connection losses on physical connection

Part Number: DP83TD510E

In our scenario the physical connection is exposed to connection losses of several milliseconds, this leads to loss of link and a new connection is established which takes about a whole second or more.

We'd like to ask if it is possible to increase the timeout before a connection loss is detected and a new link is established, to prevent a loss of connectivity for a whole second or longer each time.

The Datasheet describes a 10µs window in which errors are counted, for our scenario a 10-100ms windows would be desirable and might help keeping the connection during the milliseconds of bad link.

For clarification: Losing Data while the physical connection is disturbed for several milliseconds is of no concern, the long downtime before a new connection is established is the main problem.
