My customer is looking for a retimer or a redriver for １０００ＢＡＳＥ－Ｘ and １０ＧＢＡＳＥ－ＫＲ respectively.
What TI retimers or redrivers are recommended for each case respectively?
Please list up all possible devices for both cases.

Retimers can not be used for １０００ＢＡＳＥ－Ｘ and １０ＧＢＡＳＥ－ＫＲ?

Hi Hirano-San,

KR uses link training and we need a linear device to pass through these signaling. A retimer is a limiting device and does not allow these training sequences to pass through. On the other hand, 1000BASE-X Giga Bit Ethernet uses NRZ and retimers can be used for this application.
