TUSB217A-Q1: TUSB217A DCR

Hi Yuki-san,

Could you clarify what you mean by DCR/DCR Value? I am not sure what you mean, and I can not find anything in the USB Spec or datasheet for the TUSB217A-Q1 regarding DCR. Please let me know.

DCR stands for DC Resistance.

Without DC Boost enabled, the DCR value is about zero.

With DC Boost enabled, the DC Boost causes the DCR to in a way become a negative value, as the TUSB217A-Q1 boost the signal coming through it instead of reducing it.

The value of DCR that is seen on the board and with this part depends on the trace being used on your board.

The DCR of the device when there is no DC Boost activated should be 0, partially due to the fact that is part is just placed over the trace and does not interrupt it.

Traces on boards other than TUSB217A and others are calculated separately.
The DCR of the TUSB217A component is checked.
First of all, TUSB217A is calculated as 0 ohm without DC boost. Please let me know if you have any updates on the details.
