SSD support on TI-J721EXSOMG01EVM board

Hi Team,

Is NVMe SSD supported on TI-Jacinto 7 J721E ( TI-J721EXSOMG01EVM ) board with QNX OS ?

We are able to boot up the board with QNX OS but unable to detect the SSD drive connected .

We want to use the files in SSD drive after the board is booted with QNX OS.

Could you please suggest if any settings need to be done for SSD drive detection in QNX OS ?

  • Hi Lenin,

This question should be addressed to QNX / Blackberry team.  General response, is that yes an NVMe SSD should be detected / uesable on the QNX OS.

  • Hi KB,

we are using the PSDKQA (release 7Q70.06.02.) package from TI.

Does it have support for 'devb-nvme' ?

Do we need to do any additional setting to enable it ?

  • Hi Lenin,

The SDK 7Q70.06.02 is a very old release both from TI and QNX perspective, recommend upgrading if possible.

The "devb-" driver(s) are part of the Board Support Package (BSP) delivered by QNX / Blackberry systems.  The EVM BSP delivered by QNX to TI does not include support for this devb driver but does include support for the devb for SD/eMMC, USB, RAM.

My expectation would be that QNX has a driver that is available upon request.
