Thank you for your response. In order to reduce number of wires, we are looking for serializer solution. Therefore we cant use a buffer. In this case what do you suggest.

What is the data rate over the LVDS bus? Using this link,  https://www.ti.com/interface/lvds-m-lvds-pecl/products.html#p404=Buffer&p1389=LVDS, for a 4 channel LVDS buffer, you can use DS90LV804, https://www.ti.com/product/DS90LV804, which is a 4 channel LVDS that support 800Mbps data rate.

Resolution for my screen will be 1280x800 so I did some research and I found DS90UB927Q-Q1 and DS90UB928Q-Q1. Can I use them for my application? What do you think? Does these two components supported for linux?

I support the FPD-Link product line. The DS90UB927Q-Q1 supports pixel clocks up to 85MHz. The active video resolution you provided does fit in this range. Can you also provide the HTOTAL and VTOTAL of the video so I can confirm video timing?

The UB927 and UB928 support back channel data transfer so I2C messages from the touchscreen can go back to the MCU.

We will have three variants for display. I believe my HTotal and Vtotal, you are mentioning tables at the below.

Does these two components supported for linux? By this, I wanted to know if those components have linux driver, or do I even need a driver to use SERDES with the MPU?
