SN65DP159: Questions for IBIS model for SN65DP159 and SN65DP141

Hi Team,

Customer wants to ask for the IBIS model for DP159 and DP141, and they said the models downloaded from our website can not be used with very small file size, normally the IBIS model will have ~MB level file size. Can you help to double them again and help to send us the full version IBIS models for DP159 and DP141?

    Hi,

    The model for DP159 is an IBIS-AMI model, not the typical IBIS model. The IBIS models are a behavioral model using I-V and V-t look-up tables that make simulations extremely fast. But at high speed with the decision-feedback equalizer and feed-forward equalizer (FFE), the IBIS specification is no longer sufficient to represent the TX and RX circuits and to overcome this problem an extension to IBIS has been developed known as IBIS-AMI (Algorithmic Modeling Interface). The IBIS-AMI model enables fast, accurate, statistically significant simulation of multi-gigabit serial links.

    DP141 only has S-parameter model, which is the model of its RX EQ response.
