SN65DSI83: RegisterSetting

When you configured your registers did you use the DSI Tuner tool (https://www.ti.com/tool/DSI-TUNER)? Could you provide the panel datasheet for my reference? Are you following the initialization sequence per the datasheet? One more thing,

I have changed the register settings, but it seems that the output signal (LVDS) has not yet been output.

The DSI83 device is a MIPI DSI to LVDS bridge. After looking at the datasheet for the display panel I found that it only takes RGB format and not LVDS format. For LVDS to RGB you can use a deserializer like the DS90CR288A.

The configuration was introduced to the TI Customer Support Center in Japan,
HOST⇒SN65DSI83⇒SN65LVDS822⇒ECX336BF
I created a circuit with

HOST⇒SN65DSI83　MIPI
SN65DSI83 ⇒ SN65LVDS822  LVDS (cable connection: about 50 cm planned)
SN65LVDS822⇒ECX336BF　RGB

Currently, when connecting SN65DSI83 to SN65LVDS822, LVDS signals are not output from SN65DSI83.

The next step is to correctly configure your DSI83 device. I notice that you have a line time mismatch. 

You can resolve this issue with the following equation:

This should give you a suggested DSI CLK of 80.9970. You can put this this into the DSI Tuner tool and then generate the register configuration that you will need to use.

Hello Zach,

Using DSI-TUNER, I set each data and set the CSR output text data value to each register of SN65DSI83.
It seems that the SN65DSI83 LVDS output signals (clock and data) were output.
Refer to the MIPI DSI input signal waveform (digital oscilloscope) to the SN65DSI83 and the LVDS output signal waveform of the SN65DSI83.
Please confirm.

Although it is not displayed on the monitor yet, we are checking the SN65LVDS822 connected from the SN65DSI83.
May I contact Zach-san if you have any questions regarding the SN65LVDS822?

It appears that you are getting LVDS data out from the data that you shared with me. I am not the expert on the SN65LVDS822 and thus questions regarding this part need to be answered in a separate E2E thread.

After setting the registers, you will also need to ensure that you are following the initialization sequence per the datasheet to ensure proper functionality of the DSI83.
