DP83869HM: Magnetic selection

hi,

i'm designing a board with two DP83869HM at 100BASE-TX mode. a colleague has proposed as magnetic the INRCORE 1000B-5001FXNL. I could not understand out if this component can be used in this configuration (dual 100BASE-TX) . can you help me? best regards, Fabrizio

Hi Fabrizio,

What does Dual 100Base-TX? Are you using 2 channels for 100Base-TX PHY and another 2 channels for the other 100 Base-TX PHY?

We have not evaluated this but I don't see any reason as to why it wouldn't work.

thanks for the quick answer. i attach a image in order to clarify the architecture. i have a doubt about the magnetic, if its configuration allows to get what i want.

Yes I believe this would work. Make sure you follow the Magnetics Connection in the 869 Datasheet (Section 10.2.1.2.2.1).
