My customer would like to know if we have any recommended setting for NBTP values.
Do we have any recommneded value?

    Hi Oba,

    I recommend referencing section 4 of the TCAN4550 software user's guide for a detailed description of bit timing configurations. For a Data Bit Timing configuration for 8Mbps with a 40MHz reference clock, the prescaler should be set to 1 (for 25ns time quanta), Time Segment 1 should be allocated 3 tq and Segment 2 allocated 1 tq. The resulting 5 tq bit-time (sync + seg1 + seg2) will be 125ns (8Mbps) with a sample point of 80%.
