DS90UB940N-Q1: Oscillator Clock Period and Frequency Counter

Part Number: DS90UB940N-Q1

Hi.

I've been trying to get an approximate pixel clock using the Frequency_Counter (0x1B) register of the DS90UB940. The documentation gives the measuring period as multiple of the oscillator clock period (nominally 40 ns). Connecting to a known source the measured pixel clock correspond more to a clock period of 50 ns. Is there an error in the documentation or is there simply this much variation in the clock period? What influences the internal oscillator? Is there any way to get information about the current clock period?

Sincerely,

Alex
