TUSB8020B: About Compliance Mode entry conditions

Guru 21045 points

Hi Team,

I understand that the downstream ports of the hub will only enter Compliance Mode when enabled to do

so by a USB command from the host: SetPortFeature(PORT_LINK_STATE) = Compliance Mode.

*I Refer to other E2E thread.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/1080227/faq-tusb8041-how-do-i-test-usb-3-0-usb-3-1-usb-3-2-electrical-compliance-on-usb-hubs

Even if SMBUSz/SS_DN2 of TUSB8020BIPHPR is 1 (I2C mode selected), does TUSB8020BIPHPR entry Compliance Mode?

So, I understand that if " host: SetPortFeature(PORT_LINK_STATE) = Compliance Mode " is normal, TUSB8020BIPHPR will enter compliance mode in any setting.

Is my understanding correct?
