The customer wanted to find a chip to enhance the signal and extend the transmission distance because of the phenomenon of "blurred screen" in long-distance transmission. However, he did not know which is more suitable, SN65DP159 or TDP158.

For DP159, a HDMI 2.0 Retimer, it can handle equalization up to 14.5 dB for HDMI 2.0.

You will therefore need to see if this will be sufficient with the amount of losses on your PCB and cable lengths.
