DS90UB948-Q1: DS90UB948 Driving 2 Different Displays

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1

Hello Team,

We are wondering if it's possible to drive 2 identical single LVDS screens (but displaying different graphics) using just 1 DS90UB948 deserializer. Basically below is our intended setup.

If this is not possible, do you have a SER/DESER solution for our intended application?

Thanks,

  • Hello Vic,

Yes, this is possible, but your SoC needs to do some pre-work. It needs to add both contents into one image, i.e., super frame, by odd and even pixels. The DES will then seperate them and outputs the odd on one display and the even pixels on the other side.
