How many dBs does DS110DF410 actually support?
Hi,
The compensation depends on the data rate. As stated in the product datasheet the DS110DF410 has Rx Adaptive Equalization up to 34-dB Boost at 5 GHz. Do note that BER is affected by system PCB/interconnect parameters in addition to insertion loss such as return loss and crosstalk.
Thanks,
Rodrigo Natal
Hi Rodrigo;
The customer wants to know a reference value that is actually applied by other customers,we knew that BER is affected by other factors, For example, how many dB can the DS110DF410 EVM actually reach, and how much can it actually achieve in successful customer applications? Customers want to make a reference based on their application.
Thanks!
Hi Aiwen,
The DS110DF410 can boost up to 34dB at 5GHz, meaning a 10Gbps application can be compensated up to 34dB of insertion loss at the Nyquist frequency, which is 5GHz.
Best,
Lucas
Hi Lucas;
Is the difference between the DS280DF810 and the DS250DF810 only the rate?
1. Can DS250DF810 be used in 100G CR scenarios? (DAC cable 100G out of the panel)
2. DS250DF410 application:
a) Can 2 pieces be used in 100G SR and LR scenarios? (100G optical port out of the panel)
b) Can 2 pieces be used in 100G CR scenarios? (DAC cable 100G out of the panel)
Hi Aiwen. I replied to these questions in your other E2E thread.
