When an experiment was conducted after manufacturing a board using DP83859HM, the 1000M media converter function was performed without writing the register of the data sheet.
As far as I understand, I understood that the register should be changed after setting the strap pin to operate as a media converter, but is it right that the function works with just the strap?
Then, even if I change the circuit with the 100M media converter function, is there no need to write a register?
Or, is it right to write the register, but is it doing something abnormal?
The speed check and ping tests, and the traffic test with the Ethernet instrument were all normal at 1000M.
