TDP0604EVM: Setting from DP + + input to HDMI output

Part Number: TDP0604EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDP0604

Hi team,

A Japanese customer requested me to post this issue in E2E forum.
The customer's computer is output by DP++,
He wants to display it on the HDMI monitor.
Add a DP++ connector to the TDP0604EVM.

The customer knows that TDP0604 can add capacitor at the input, a level shifter from DP++ to HDMI.
To use DP++ level shifter, he changed TDP0604EVM input (R196-R203) to capacitor (100nF).
The customer wants to know the pin strap settings for converting from DP++ to the best HDMI.
The settings of the jumper connector of the TDP0604EVM and the pattern of the DP++ connector.

Thank you for your clarification.

Regards,

Frank

  • Frank:

         DP++ output is AC coupled, so customer don't need to replace (R196-R203) to capacitor (100nF).

        for jump setting, customer can start with default setting on table 2-2. For Hump 6 and 8 (EQ1 and EQ0), it depends on  how long the cable customer using.
