Hi Expert,

My customer just want to ask the ISO7741 can connect with our CAN FD TCAN1042 or not ?

Or we have combo solution for this application ?

Hi Eddie,

The Isolation team makes an isolated TCAN1042 and TCAN1044 called the ISO1042 and ISO1044. If you need the 70V bus fault protection then the ISO1042 comes with that bus fault protection.

I have another question if my customer want to use discreet solution like ISO7741 + TCAN1042 or TCAN1044. Is it make sense ?

Eddie,

Your customer could do that if they like. Make sure that all the digital pins and voltage rails are separated correctly. Make sure you are not violating any of the specs of either device.

We are currently working on some collateral that goes over a set up just like this. But it will not be ready for a couple months.
