TUSB2E22: Back to back possible?

Is it possible to connect two TUSB2E22 devices back to back to make a USB2 repeater. Connection would look like this:

Hello,

The TUSB2E22 must be configured by a eUSB host or device in order to properly function, so I don't believe this is possible.

In either case we have a number of USB2 repeaters, like the TUSB216 or the TUSB211. Have you considered these devices?

Thanks, this is what I suspected but wanted to confirm. We are aware of the USB2 redrivers like the TUSB216. The challenge is that there is requirement to disable the USB interface and there are two USB ports this needs to be done. A redriver like the TUSB216 could do this if combined with a USB SPST switch like TS3USB31E, but would take four devices for two channels. The back to back TSUB2E22 would only take two devices.

Hi Mark,

I double-checked with the system engineer that the TUSB2E22 cannot be used this way.
