We are designing Displayport TX and RX ports for prototyping.
We are wondering whether SN65DP141 could also be using in RX Port replaceing a retimer?
Is there any design need to be take care of if it is useable in RX?
Furthermore, it seems like the length of trace is considered important in the layout, can you recommand a suitable length?
And can it be through vias?

Hi,
DP141 can be used on the sink side. The DP141 is a linear re-driver so it will only able to clean up any ISI-related jitter. Any random jitter will not be cleaned by the DP141 and passed onto the DP sink. So it is up to the DP sink to clean up the random jitter. For vias, please follow section 11 layout guideline in the DP141 datasheet.
