To simplify the layout, I implemented the TMUXHS4212 as a muxer for the Rx channel on pins 3 and 4 and the Tx channel on pins 7 and 8. The other side accordingly. I assume that both channels are fully bidirectional and not dedicated for Rx / Tx ? Can you confirm that this is correct ? The datasheet shows only the other variant (Fig. 9-1. AC Coupling Caps....) (--> there are errors in the figures (B0p/B0n, B1p/B1n at the left side must be A0p/A0n, A1p/A1n).
