DS90UB948-Q1: GPIO ^D_GPIO SPEED?

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB949-Q1,

hi:

Excuse me: TI DS90UB948-Q1&DS90UB949-Q1_ What is the difference between GPIO?

D_ GPIO0~D_ What is the maximum transmission speed that GPIO3 can support?

What is the maximum transmission speed that GPIO0~GPIO3 can support?

  • Hi Kevin,

GPIO[0:3] can be used over the FPD-Link channel regardless if the serializer and deserializer are in single-link mode or dual-link mode. D_GPIO pins can only be used in dual-link mode

In the forward direction (SER->DES), GPIO[0:3] and D_GPIO speed is 0.25 * Input Clock for single lane mode and 0.125 * Input Clock for dual lane mode.

In the reverse direction (DES->SER), GPIO[0:3] will transfer at 133kbps. The D_GPIO back channel speeds are variable so I will attach the table below.

    Regards,

    Jack

  • Hi Kevin,

As an additional follow-up, please note that for GPIO the speeds are for each pin. For example, when using back-channel GPIO[0:3] that means each pin can take up to 133kbps each.

    Regards,

    Jack
