Hi,

I’m working in a project where I'll try to program a SPI EEPROM using a USB Port. For that, I would like to use this device, the TUSB3410, to do this job. So, my intention is to use the TUSB3410 and a PIC to convert a USB protocol in a RS-232 protocol, and after that, using a PIC, to obtain a SPI signal to program the memory. Is it possible to do this using this device?

I also would like to know how it works! Does the device create a virtual serial port and I can program program as if I were programming a serial port?

Yes, the TUSB3410 is designed as a USB-to-UART bridge.
