TUSB320: GPIO mode: OUT1 & OUT2 states when in DFP mode?

    OUT1/2 stat is unknown during DFP.

   can you use ID to control?  ID is always low in DFP and high in DRP and UFP.

Thanks for the response Brian.  Ugh, not the answer I was hoping for.  I am using the ID pin to help control my power switching but I need more than just that for what I am trying to do.  If I could use I2C, this wouldn't be a problem.

   you just need to supply 5v vbus in DFP mode. in UFP, you get vbus from connector.

   Maybe it didn't explain your concern.

My problem/concern is that the "USB Device" in my image can sometimes get (accidentally) manually configured to output 5V instead of the intended of always being the recipient of the 5V.   We don't expect the connection to function properly when in that condition but I don't want harm to come either. If I had another control signal to help me to know when I'm connected in the UFP role, I could keep that path off until role negotiation is done.  Having just the ID pin to work with means one path or the other will always be enabled.
