DS80PCI102: When accessing for the first time, the CPU is always unable to link the end device.

The DS80PCI102 is a repeater that provides analog signal conditioning that doesn't dynamically change its settings.  The fact that the link is stable after the first attempt makes me think that it is unlikely the issue can be resolved using the DS80PCI102.

"After using it once, the link can always be stabilized every time afterwards. I don't know why."

Are there any debug tools available like a PCIe protocol analyzer to compare the passing and failing cases?

It is found that when accessing for the first time, the CPU cannot always link the end device. After using it once, the link can always be stabilized every time afterwards. - Is this a problem with the repeater, or a problem with the system itself? Thanks.

Hi Charlie,

Without more information I can't say for sure, but I think it's more likely to be a system issue.  The repeater does not change its settings in-between attempts, so I would expect the results to be the same for both attempts if was the repeater.
