    Please see section 5 of this app note: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snoa233b/snoa233b.pdf

    It goes into details how to calculate power for RS-485 devices - this knowledge can be directly applied to RS-422 devices as the general architecture is the same. Essentially it is just the quiescent ICC(max) + all of the output current that is required by your application will be the needed ICC for the application.
